Will tighter gun controls lead to safer societies?
The terrorist attack on an Orlando nightclub has started yet another round of mainly emotional debate on the difficult issue of gun control. President Obama (and others) are attempting to use the mass killing of 49 people in a night club by a terrorist into a pivot point for the gun control debate. The debates, especially in the visual media, tend to be fact-free and reflect the agendas of the people involved rather than what is truly need: facts.
